With Sympathy

We're challenging you to make clean and simple sympathy cards this week at The Outlawz. It's definitely something I don't always have on hand. I found an old Flourishes stamp (the flowers) and also used a Verve Stamps set for the sentiment (both inside and out). That stamp set is called Forever in Our Hearts. I ended up making two cards but this design is so simple I could have certainly made many more. Sure hope you can join our CAS challenge this week over at The Outlawz.

What's Up?

Working too much and watching too much playoff hockey (Let's Go Pens!!)!! So here's my card using the newly released Imagine That Digistamp set Giraffe With Butterflies. I also used the Sassy Frassy digi papers (I do love Kris's line of digi papers! Did you see all the new animal print packs? Gorgeous!!). I kept this card fairly simple and perfect for mailing. Now head on over to the Creative Playground to see more inspiration from the Imagine That Digistamp design team.

The sentiment (heat embossed) and die (cut out 3 times and covered in wink of stella) are an old set by Avery Elle. The flower is from a Simon Says Stamp die, like the sentiment and hello die, must be retired because I can't seem to find it. The flower and leaves are also covered in wink of the sparkle. A quick and easy, clean and simple, and easily mailed card is complete!! Now it's your turn to share your creation with us at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.

Challenges I'm submitting my card to include:
Aud Sentiments - Anything Goes + a sentiment

Fab 'n' Funky - Create a background
Simon Says Stamp - A bit of sparkle

Hello My Friend

Welcome to the CAS challenge at The Outlawz for this week. Our challenge hostess is from South Africa and they are in the midst of the fall season. The theme is to create a card using autumn colors - brown, green, orange, etc. I pulled out a Paper Trey Ink stamp set, Ombre Builders, that I have never used before -- YIKES!! That created the colorful background. The I die cut the  Scripty Hello from Lawn Fawn three times for some dimension. I then added a sentiment along with some embellishments like gold thread and sequins. I rarely add embellies so this was a stretch outside my comfort zone!! Sure hope you can join us for our autumn colors challenge over at The Outlawz.

We're playing a little bingo this week over at Catch the Bug. Lots of fun combinations to pick from too!

Here's my card (sparkle, stitching, sentiment), using from Bugaboo the adorable Sunbonnet Candy Cane (not yet in the new store). I colored her up with my copic markers then covered quite a bit with my wink of Stella glitter pen. I also used red glitter paper to make it extra sparkly! I cheated with the stitching, making use of two stitched dies. Now I can't wait to see what you create for our Bingo challenge this week over at Catch the Bug.

How Are You?

It's "Oldie But Goodie" Thursday at Catch the Bug. That's where we pick an older Bugaboo image, one that you may never seen before or forgotten about, dust it off, and create something with it. Not only am I a CAS kinda gal but I also love sketches -- good thing for Pinterest!! I found an old sketch that worked perfectly for my sweet Turtle - Flower image from Bugaboo. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your today!!

Girls Night Over

So who remembers slumber parties growing up?!! I loved 'em!! We always tried to see how long we could stay awake! I'm thinking that's where my being a night owl started!! Stella Says Sketch

It's time for a Stella Says Sketch challenge over at Catch the Bug. With summer right around the corner, we will have one sketch per month. Bi-monthly sketches will return in September.

Yes, that's right, I made a Christmas card!!! But who could resist this adorable Bugaboo image, Snowman #3. I had to use the color version because with picking up more hours at work, I'm finding less and less time to craft. Now I hope you can join us this month for the latest and greatest Stella Says Sketch at Catch the Bug.

You're Toadally Awesome!

Did you know yesterday was "Dance Like a Frog Day?" Yeah, me either!! Well our CAS challenge over at The Outlawz is to create a card with a frog on it. I printed off this cutie from Imagine That Digistamp, Skipper's Pocket. The pattern paper is from the Goin' Buggy digi paper pack also from Imagine That Digistamp. Keeping with the polka dotted theme, I used a favorite embossing folder for the black layer. A quick card to create, thanks to the fun pre-colored digi by Imagine That Digistamp. I sure hope you can join us for some toadally awesome CAS fun this week at The Outlawz.

Enjoy Your Special Day!

We have a new sketch at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge and it's fabulous!!! Check it out and join us, we love to see what you create!

Here's my take on the sketch, using the dragonfly die cut in place of the flowers. The die and stamp set are part of the Dragonfly Dreams bundle from Stampin' Up. The background for the circle is inspired by a SU demonstrator, Tami White. Check out her blog and YouTube channel for some wonderful ideas. Now it's your turn to make something with the wonderful sketch found at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.

Sweet Day

Today at Catch the Bug it's Anything But a Card day. I'm sharing a Teabag and Cookie holder that I found on Pinterest. I'll have to look for it later (it's currently 2am as I'm excuse any and all typos!). The Bugaboo image I used is the Kidz Cookie which at this time is not in the store. With so many images, Jodie is every day adding more so be on the look out for this cutie. The holder itself is from a sheet of 8 1/2 x 12 inch of double sided pattern paper. Super fun to make, but I know for a fact it will be more fun to eat those cookies!!!! Hahaha!! Be sure and head over to Catch the Bug to see other awesome ABC projects.

Baby Shower Cards

This week at The Outlawz the CAS team is challenging you to share a "shower" card. I was inspired by the baby shower I was at just a week ago! And of course I had to make a boy and girl version of the same card!! The die set is the Baby Shower Dies by Paper Smooches. The cute little chickie is sparkled up using a wink of stella pen.

And here is the girl version. Both make use of some scraps...gotta love that! The diaper pin on this one is also glittered up with the wink of stella pen. So fun and quick & easy to make. Now join us this week at The Outlawz for some April showers!!

Hello -- well now I have that Adele song stuck in my head!!! It's time to share an "Oldie Bug Goodie" Bugaboo image today and I went with the adorable Sew Sunbonnet - Thimble. This will be perfect for my mother-in-law who is rehabing following a knee replacement and stroke. She is quite the seamstress, and I know a lot of people are missing her and all her alteration skills.

As you may know, Bugaboo has a new shop. Jodie is working non-stop everyday adding image files (over 3500 in total!!). If you don't see an image or did not receive an invite via email to reactivate your account, please send her an email - Meanwhile, take a moment to look thru the store, bet you can find images you never saw before...I know I did!!! Also, be sure and check out what other DT members are creating this week at Catch the Bug.

Missing You

Thursdays over at the Creative Playground mean inspiration from the Imagine That Digistamp design team. Today I created with the recently released set Pierrette. So many wonderful images in both outline and colored (beautifully may I add!). I kept my card very simple, using some digi paper from Beary in Love and linen thread.

Speaking of releases, there's a new one from yesterday called Retro Waitress. IT IS ADORABLE!!! Be sure and check it out. Also don't forget to join our monthly link-up challenge HERE at the Creative Playground. Use an Imagine That Digistamp image and receive the featured set Rainy Day Fun free!! New Release From Bugaboo

Today is new release day at Bugaboo!! Have you checked out the new store yet? You really should, it's fantastic!! Here is Dino Birthday, perfect for a fun card to celebrate. As soon as I saw him, I knew I had to make him purple. Does anyone else remember Barney the purple dinosaur? My oldest absolutely LOVED him!! Sorry to say but boy was he annoying!! I stamped the sentiment from a Paper Trey Ink stamp set called Keep it Simple: Birthday Mini. Bright colored scraps helped me finish up this project. Be sure and take a look what other DT members created using this image over at Catch the Bug, talk about talent!!

Here's my card, stampin' and die cuttin' and having a blast!!! The flowers are from the stamp set Blooms 'N Buds by Reverse Confetti and the sentiment is from the stamp set Happy Wishes by WP9. You're Special

April is autism awareness month and Kristy from Imagine That Digistamp has released a new digi set called Autism Awareness Kids. It's such a sweet set. My youngest son is autistic so of course I had to use the boy image on my card!!! The paper also comes in this set. The sentiment is from Paper Smooches - Sentiment Sampler. Everyone would keep telling me I have a special needs child (don't you think I know that!!!!). I finally spoke up and said no, he doesn't have special needs, he's just special!!! No comebacks after that!! You can get your own set of Autism Awareness Kids from Imagine That Digistamp HERE...included is a badge to display on your blog with pride!!

Hello Friend

I did a little stamping "just for fun" over the weekend. I ended up making 4 of the same cards, just different colors. I stamped the background (an old Stampin' Up background stamp) then die cut it out using the Postage Stamp infinity dies by Hero Arts. The sentiment comes from the Bloomin' Cute stamp set by Paper Trey Ink. Super simple and perfect for making multiples.

Here's the pink one. I also made one in yellow and one in peach but they were dropped off into the mailbox before I realized I didn't get a picture taken!!! Oh well!!

Have a Great Day

Today's Clean & Simple challenge at The Outlawz is to use a map on your card. I found an old Basic Grey paper pack with a map of sorts in it so I went with it. The bike and sentiment come from an old Hero Arts set called Joy Ride. As you guessed it, this card was a snapped to put together...once I came up with the design!!!! Hope you can join us at The Outlawz for our CAS challenge.

Bugaboo Stamps is the sponsor of this challenge (it runs for 2 weeks) so how could I resist?!!! Bugaboo is in the process of moving her shop so it's down at this moment. But be on the lookout for when it opens!

Here's my card, using the adorable Rabbit Eggs from Bugaboo. I so love the expression on this bunny's face. He is cut out using my Scan N Cut too. Now I hope you can find some time to play along with the sketch over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2.

Have a Beautiful Day

We at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge have a new challenge for you! Check out this awesome sketch! Let you imagination run wild with it and join us!!!

Here's my card, using the fabulous Beautiful Butterflies card kit from My Favorite Things. I can't believe this kit hasn't sold out yet!! I love it!! Now I do have to ask myself one thing, why did you make this card when you're so tired? I totally forgot to lightly stencil in my background as I had planned!!! Lesson learned. I wish you could see in the photo the great sparkle on each butterfly thanks to my wink of stella pen. Maybe, just maybe, I'll remake it the right way!! Sure hope you can join us for a fun challenge at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.

Good Luck Sweetie

Welcome to the latest CAS challenge at The Outlawz. I am the hostess this week and the theme is birds. I have several bird feeders hanging from my deck so the deer stay out of 'em!! Problem is I have raccoons who climb up onto the deck, muddy paws and all, to take and destroy those feeders!! I end up bringing them inside every night. But I'll do it for my beautiful feathered friends!! I ended up using the adorable stamp of the month at From the Heart called Lucky Lil Birdie. After all, who can resist such sweetness!! I also followed the sketch over at From the Heart this week as well. Now I hope you can join us for some feathery CAS fun at The Outlawz.
