Sending My Thanks

I'm running a little bit behind on things. I injured my hand on Saturday (yes, my right hand) and was having trouble doing anything with it. It's still swollen but doesn't hurt as much so I can now type today!! Here's my card for the CAS challenge over at The Outlawz. We're asking for clean and simple creations using dots AND stripes. I pulled out my stamp set Party Patterns by My Favorite Things and some fun colors of Avery Elle ink (my latest obsession!) to create the background. The stripes along the side is the Pinstripe background, also from MFT. The sentiment is by Avery Elle and called Sending You. Head on over to The Outlawz and share your CAS project using dots & stripes, we'd love to see it!

Challenges I'm submitting my card to include"
Make My Monday - no pattern paper
Perfectly Created Chaos - show me your patterns
Cards and More - no pattern paper

Season's Greetings

We have a new sketch starting this week at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge, and check it out!! Fabulous, awesome and wonderfully clean and simple.

My take on the sketch is pretty straight forward...and can very easily be made in bulk!! I started by stamping the Hero Arts background stamp Snowflakes and Edges three times in three different ink colors. Then I cut the strips, leaving me plenty of stamped background left over for more cards!! The sentiment is by Mama Elephant and called Season's Greetings.  I heat embossed it in silver and popped it up. Quick and easy...my type of card. Hope you can join us this week at the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge for some sketchy fun.

Challenges I'm submitting my card to:
Craftyhazelnut's Christmas - Use a sentiment
Hiding in my Craft Room - Any holiday
That's Crafty! - Christmas in September
QKR Stampede - Embossing
A Snowflakes Promise - Anything goes Christmas/Winter

Stella Says Sketch Reminder

It's the beginning of week 2 of the latest Stella Says Sketch over at Catch the Bug. To find the original post with inlinkz, go HERE.

I changed up the sketch just a bit by using circles instead of squares with my Bugaboo images. I thought the Fall Trio was perfect!! I die cut a few leaves for the 4th circle (wish I had sponged some color on them to highlight), and since I already had a sentiment, I added the brads where the sentiment showed up on the sketch. Yes, you guessed it, I used my new favorite Perfectly Plaid Fall paper pack from Lawn Fawn. You have one more week to play along in our latest Stella Says Sketch so don't miss out!

Just Because

There's a new Saturday challenge over at Catch the Bug and it's a photo inspiration challenge. Those black eyed susans are beautiful!! I used to have several patches of them...until the deer decided to make a meal of them!! So now I only look at them in pictures:(

Here's my card for today's challenge, using the Bugaboo image Ladybug Daisy. I decided to change my flower from a daisy into a black eyed susan!! I also pulled out some pattern paper scraps from my never ending pile!! Love when I can do that. Now join us this week at Catch the Bug and share what inspired you with our lovely photo. You could be a winner of some Bugaboo goodies!!!

Happy Fall

I guess I should be saying Happy International Day of Peace instead since autumn doesn't officially start until tomorrow!! I had this cutie from Imagine That Digistamp called Maggie's Apples already printed off and couldn't resist using it. Besides, I see it being sent to one of my nieces in Florida to remind them of what they miss with this, my favorite season. Now if only we could go directly into spring and eliminate winter all together!!!

Fall/Autumn

Doodle Pantry is sponsoring the Fall/Autumn challenge at Pile it On. I couldn't resist the adorable Candy Corn Ants from Doodle Pantry. I love the bright colors on this pre-colored digi image, especially the pink. So of course I had to use them on my card! Sure hope you can join in on the fall/autumn theme challenge at Pile it On.

Here are the challenges I'm submitting my card to:
Alphabet Challenge - O is for Oval
Creative Corner - No pattern papers
Stampin' Royalty - Fall theme

It's All About the Cupcake!

Cupcakes ---- that's our theme this week for the CAS challenge at The Outlawz. How fun because that's what I had for my birthday earlier this month instead of a big cake. And boy were they yummy!!! For my card, I used a Paper Trey Ink stamp set called Everyday Classics. Thank goodness for my Misti, it helped me get everything inked up just right!!

Challenges I'm entering my card to include:
A Gem of a Challenge - Female Birthday
Moving Along With the Times - Birthday Cake
Simon Says Stamp - Clean and Simple
Unicorn Challenge Blog - Happy Birthday
{PIN}spirational Challenges - Photo Inspiration

Getting Ready for Halloween!!

I couldn't let this awesome sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches go by without playing along!! Besides, I just got my order from Reverse Confetti and wanted to pull out my goodies and play!

Here's what I came up with, using the Halloween Bits Confetti Cuts and Fright Night paper pad. What a shame I forgot to use the new cardstock also from Reverse Confetti!! I also just realized there is no stamping on my card...crazy!!!

Blessings This Season

It's time to share some "Oldies But Goodies" from Bugaboo Stamps. I found this cutie in my pile of printed images called AKV Fall Scarecrow. I should have colored the bird black to be a crow, but this guy is so sweet, there's no way he could scare any birds!!! The sentiment is from the Grateful Leaves set by Hero Arts - I just did a little stamp surgery and cut away the "wishing you" portion. I followed the sketch over at Tuesday Throwdown, using a piece of the Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid Fall paper. Be sure and check out more inspiration from the Bugaboo design team over at the blog Catch the Bug.

Falling Ants

Doodle Pantry is sponsoring the challenge over at Aud Sentiments, and their theme is Fall Colors + a sentiment. I couldn't resist using the sweet Falling Ants set from Doodle Pantry! Though they may be mischievous, they sure know how to have fun!!! Now I hope you can join in on the challenge over at Aud Sentiments...after all, there's some Doodle Pantry goodness up for grabs!!

Hugs and Prayers

Welcome back to another fabulous sketch at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge. We are always so glad to have you join us!! Take a look at this fabulous sketch for you to try!!

Initially I had some flowers picked out for my card but decided to go with a "I must have it" stamp and die sets from Avery Elle called The Reef.  I even used some of Avery Elle's ink pads too for the first time and I love 'em!!! Looks like I'll be getting more colors!!! The sentiment is Prayers from Hero Arts. Now I can't wait to see your take on our sketch from Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.

Autumn Blessings

We have an Anything Goes theme goin' on the week for our CAS challenge over at The Outlawz. I pulled out a new set from Paper Trey Ink called Autumn Pumpkins. There's a few things I would have done differently to this card (like sponging a bit darker ink onto the pumpkins for shadowing, maybe adding some splatter onto the kraft panel), but I've been obsessed with watching the History Channel and their 9/11 programs. I don't know why I can't stop watching when all I do is cry because it is so upsetting! Anyway, I hope you can join us for our Anything Goes CAS challenge this week at The Outlawz. It's an easy theme to help up get through this difficult week. Hugs to you all!

Warm Thoughts

This week at Catch the Bug our challenge is a theme -- The Great Outdoors. We are coming to that time of year when autumn is upon us so I went with the Bugaboo image Edward Fall Pumpkins. That plus the fact I found this image in my stack of printed digis that are looking for a home on a card!!! I also found the pattern papers on my scrap pile...that's a win, win for me!!! Sure hope you can join us this week at Catch the Bug for some outdoor fun!

Teacher's Gift

Mondays at Catch the Bug are Anything but a Card -- I created a super simple teacher's gift, "embellishing" the pencil pack with the adorable Bugaboo image School Bear Pencil. I cut this little guy out with my Cut N Scan, colored him up with Copic markers, and attached him to the wide red gingham ribbon. Quick, easy and fun. And this is coming from a girl who finds it very difficult to make anything but a card!!!!

Merry Christmas

We have a new clean and simple challenge this week over at The Outlawz -- make a card with a bird, bee, flower and/or tree. Okay, my card doesn't actually feature trees, just a portion of 'em!! The stamp set is Through the Trees and the sentiment is from Signature Christmas, both by Paper Trey Ink. I silver heat embossed then with a navy marker, traced a shadow along the trees. Simple and fun! Might have to make more of these in different colors of card stock and embossing!!

Let's Party!!

It's the beginning of September and time for an Anything Goes challenge over at Catch the Bug. I had to get one last beach themed card made before the cool autumn days are upon us! From Bugaboo I used the sweet Beach Frog - Beach Toys and a few scraps and very simple layout. Who doesn't love simple?!!! Join us this week at Catch the Bug for our Anything Goes challenge.

It's as Easy as 1, 2, 3

We have a new monthly challenge starting at the Imagine That Digistamp blog, Creative Playground. It's a recipe challenge that's as easy as 1, 2, 3. Yep, we want to see 1 & 2 & 3 of something. I have 1 image from the set Pinwheel Crab, 2 pattern papers, one of which is from the Paris in Summer pack, and 3 brads for embellishment. Definitely a card of encouragement...or simply to put a smile on someone's face!!! I sure hope you can join us at the Creative Playground for our recipe challenge this month. You could be the winner of some Imagine That Digistamp goodies!!!

I have a giveaway going on to celebrate my birthday...check out THIS POST!

The first day of the month means a new Ants in my Pantry Digital Challenge at the Doodle Pantry Blog. It's an anything goes digital challenge using any vendor...so join us!!! I couldn't resist creating another Christmas card. Doodle Pantry has so many wonderful holiday images and I think I have almost all of 'em!!
