Ruff Day?

It's Sunday, and that means a new Clean and Simple challenge over at The Outlawz. In honor of Mutt Day today, we're challenging you to make a CAS card with a dog on it. Now be sure you're sitting down for this, but I couldn't find one dog stamp in my whole collection!!! Crazy I know! So do a digital image I go. I couldn't resist Mr. Spike from Doodle Pantry...he is so stinkin' cute!!! The color version and digital papers helped me make this up super quick. I think I'll send this to my son who has 2 more weeks left of his internship in Connecticut and actually said he couldn't wait to get home! There's no place like it!!

Life's a Beach!

It's Friday so that means Freebie Friday time at Bugaboo!! Check out this cutie, Summer Butterfly Bear Beach. I paired her up with a fun sentiment by Hero Arts, Beach. I'm not a very good scene builder so a little mound of sand and some clouds was all I could come up with!!! Be sure and check out what the rest of the DT created over at Catch the Bug. And be sure and pick up your freebie from Bugaboo.

Just a Note

It's Monday, and that means it's an Anything But a Card day at Catch the Bug. Thank goodness for Pintrest, I was able to get an idea for a post it note holder (instructions can be found HERE). It was super simple...gotta love that! I used a newer Bugaboo image, Cherry Girl, in the color version. Not only did it save me time, but it was already colored in my favorite color combo of black, white and red.

My Special Friend

We have a new clean and simple challenge this week at The Outlawz - Wings. I knew right away I wanted to use a new set from Avery Elle called Butterflies. I heat embossed this beauty, colored it up with my zig brush markers, then cut it out with one of the dies. I love the added shine on the butterfly from the heat embossing. I had a bit of trouble getting my colors to blend with the brush markers. I then scribbled some orange onto an acrylic block, picked some up with my yellow marker, then was able to blend no problem. I'll keep playing with these markers but for now, this method works for me.

Dream Big

Doodle Pantry is sponsoring the Bingo challenge going on this week at Fab N Funky. I went with pearls, tag, and ribbon. And my Doodle Pantry image is from the newly released set Dream Catcher Color. With the image still in the die, I sponged some soft teal blue ink around the image. I love the white border then around the oval. The two pattern papers are also from this set and I used my favorite dotted circle embossing folder for the final layer. Play along with the Bingo challenge this week at Fab N Funky for your chance to win a great Doodle Pantry prize.

Raymond's Frogs

Did you see the sweet set Kris of Imagine That Digi Stamps released called Raymond's Frogs? It is the cutest!!! I couldn't wait to get my hands on him and create something. Lucky for me he comes in a color version because I needed to make something quick since we are now on our annual beach vacation. Be sure and pick up Raymond's Frogs for yourself, especially if you have some boys in your life...this set is perfect!!

Holly Jolly Christmas

It's Wednesday and I'm lounging at the beach!!! Sure hope my post goes live when it's supposed to!! I don't want you to miss out on this fabulous sketch from Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2. Yet another opportunity to use some pattern paper scraps!

Our wonderful sponsor is Sami Stamps. If you haven't been to her store yet...what are you waiting for!!! She has some really fun and fabulous images!

Like this cutie, Whiskers in my Stocking. I cut this image out with my Cut N Scan, colored it up with Copic markers, then popped it up on a watercolored background oval. I sure hope you can join us for our challenge over the next 2 weeks at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2

New Release at Bugaboo

It's Tuesday and new release day at Bugaboo. I'm always amazed that Jodie has several new images every week!! And isn't this one a cutie, Christmas Bird. I used the color version because I needed to get a card done quickly before leaving for vacation! That's one of the reasons I love the color version of digital images. Be sure and check out what the rest of the DT created with this sweetie over at Catch the Bug.

I got to play with a sponsor image - Happy Birthday Boy from Craftin' Desert Divas. A simple card to create - well it is a Clean and Simple challenge after all!! Now I hope you can join us at The Outlawz for our blue and brown color challenge.

Happy Holiday

Wow, this is Day 6 of our Christmas in July challenges at Catch the Bug. They sure are fun, aren't they?!! Today we have a little photo inspiration for you.

Of course, since we leave for the beach on Sunday, I was inspired by the sand, sun and surf theme. I used from Bugaboo Tropical Santa Drink. This is how Santa spends the day after Christmas!!! I decided to go with more beachy type of pattern papers too. Keep those awesome cards coming for our Christmas in July celebration at Catch the Bug.

'Tis the Season

Here's the latest sketch from Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge. It's great for my love of clean and simple.

Of course I couldn't resist making yet another Christmas card!!! I used the Color Layering Wreath set from Hero Arts and I'm embarrassed to say this is the first it has seen any ink!!! I decided to use the little stamps in that set to create my own heat embossed background. The sentiment is also heat embossed only in gold. A fun sketch and stamp set for sure.

Humor Me Wednesday

Hard to believe we are already into day 5 of our Christmas in July celebration at Catch the Bug. Hope you are enjoying the challenges so far. Today it's time for a recipe challenge for Humor Me Wednesday.

Believe me, there's lots of humorous images and sentiments to be found at Bugaboo. I couldn't resist using Merry Christmas to Ewe, he so makes me smile! Thought I would keep it black, white and red...besides, I had several scraps of pattern paper right on my paper cutter just beggin' to be used!! Not sure if brads can be considered "bling" but I'm usin' them for that part of the recipe!! Now be sure to come back tomorrow for yet another fun challenge.

Day 4 Christmas in July Celebration

Yep, it's Day 4 already of our Christmas in July celebration at Catch the Bug. Today's challenge we get to play a little Tic Tac Toe. And, being Tuesday, we have a new release to share with you as well!

Isn't this Christmas Hedgie simply adorable?!!! He also comes in the color version which I used here. My tic tac toe is the second column down - Shiney (thanks to Glossy Accents on the ornament and clear embossing powder in the green layer), Bugaboo Image (new release) and Texture (dry embossed red layer as well as the heat embossed green layer). Can't wait to see what you create.

Day 3 - Tag, You're It!

It is Day 3 of our Christmas in July celebration over at Catch the Bug and today we want you to make a gift tag.

It amazing how quick and easy it can be to make your own gift tag!! I used from Bugaboo the adorable Sign It Chibi Snowman, cutting it out with my Scan N Cut. Thank goodness for that machine because, as you know, I'm a very lazy stamper and doing all that fussy cutting would never have happened! Now I have a cute tag cut out and ready to be put on a present. Sure hope you can join us again today for our Christmas in July celebration at Catch the Bug.

Let's Get Sketchy

Welcome back to day 2 of our Christmas in July celebration at Catch the Bug. Today it's a sketch...and a mighty fun one at that!!

On my card, I used the sweet Bugaboo image Marshmallow Snowman Candy Cane. I love the color combo of aqua and red so I decided to go with it on this card. Gave me an excuse to use a piece of pattern paper from my newly purchased pack by Lawn Fawn, Perfectly Plaid. Looking forward to seeing what you create.

Merry Christmas

For our clean and simple challenge this week at The Outlawz we're doing Christmas in July. We have a forever bachelor friend that I create a more masculine card for so I think this one will be it. For the background, I scored some cream cardstock then rubbed 3 different ink pads (caramel, cocoa and gray) over it in hopes of creating a woodgrain look. The image is from Avery Elle and called Winter Wreath. Yep, I cut it out with the die set found HERE. The sentiment from Paper Trey Ink (Inside & Out: Holiday Stamp Set) is gold embossed. Now it's time to show us your CAS Christmas creation over at The Outlawz.

Challenges I'm submitting my card to include:
Broken Fairy Challenge - Anything Goes with a twist, Christmas in July
Just Add Ink - Photo Inspiration
Moving Along With the Times - No Designer Paper
Crafty Creations - Clean & Simple
Ike's World - Christmas in July

Merry & Bright

It's time!!!!! Our Christmas in July celebration has begun over at Catch the Bug. We have a whole week of fun challenges planned so join us and get started early on those Christmas cards and projects! To start things off, today we're looking for some snowmen or snowflakes.

My card I used the super sweet Bugaboo image Snow Friends Window. Who would love having these cuties right outside their window?!! I added a little sparkle to the Christmas lights with my Wink of Stella pen but it's hard to see in the picture. Now it's your turn to show us some of your "flaky" friends!!! You'll find the linky over at Catch the Bug.

Just a reminder, the entire Bugaboo store is 50% off this month so get your shopping list ready!!!

A Season of Wonder

Doodle Pantry is sponsoring Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Challenge - a Christmas card (of course) using purple, a little or a lot. Well as you know, I am so NOT a fan of purple but I broke out of my comfort zone and created this one, using the Doodle Pantry set Season of Wonder. The color image and digital paper (also included in this set) helped make this a quick and easy card. Just a few brads (my latest embellishment obsession) and this makes one more for the Christmas card pile!  Hope you can join in the Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Challenge for your chance at some Doodle Pantry goodness.

Christmas in July

Another quick and easy Christmas card! Well, it wasn't actually easy because I ditched the first version of this card because it was simply that bad!! I like this one much better. I'm using the new set from Imagine That Digistamp, Angel Harpist. Of course I used the color version!! Such a beautiful image and wonderful rich colors.

Sweet Happy Holiday

It's Wednesday and time for a new challenge at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2. Check out this awesome sketch for you to try!! As always, I love the chance to use paper pattern scraps.

Our sponsor is everyone's favorite, Bugaboo. The prize is 7 free images...totally awesome!!!

I had to continue my Christmas in July theme and use this sweet Bugaboo image, Christmas Rocking Horse. Yep, I cut it out with my Cut N Scan!! I sure am lovin' that! I hope you can join us over the next two weeks for our fun sketch at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2.

Speaking of Bugaboo, we will be celebrating our own Christmas in July starting this Saturday. We'll have a week of fun challenges and awesome prizes up for grabs. Be sure and join us at Catch the Bug starting on Saturday.

And check this out, the entire Bugaboo store is 50% off thru the end of July!! Be sure and take advantage of these wonderful savings!

Hello

Ahhhh yes, a long weekend, and one I'm going to enjoy!! We have a new CAS challenge over at The Outlawz. Being the 4th of July holiday, we're looking for a clean and simple creation using the colors of your country's flag. So red, white and blue it is!! I used my newly purchased Color Layering For You Flowers from Hero Arts. I had so much fun stamping these flowers and leaves. The sentiment is the Halftone Hello by Altenew. Yes, I know I popped in a little green but I simply had to!!

I used the fabulous sketch from Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge. I really like this sketch!! Sure hope I see you over at The Outlawz for our CAS challenge this week.

Paper Sweeties - Photo Inspiration
Glitter 'N' Sparkle - Red, White and Blue

Mermaid Swing Easel Card

Welcome back to a new monthly challenge at Imagine That Digistamp Creative Playground. This month we want you to have fun creating shaped or fancy fold cards. I created a swing easel card. Thanks to Pintrest for giving me the idea. I then googled it and found a video to follow. My card's a little rough around the edges but actually fun to create!! I used from Imagine That Digistamps a newly released set, Mermaid on Rock. Can't wait to see what fun creations you have in store for our Fancy Fold/Shaped Cards challenge at Imagine That Digistamps Creative Playground.

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas??? Yes, it's the beginning of celebrating Christmas in July!! So I thought I would create a Christmas card for the Ants in my Pantry Digital Challenge over at the Doodle Pantry Blog. I used the color version of Jolly Saint Nicholas from Doodle Pantry...love the ease and speed for cardmaking using those color images. There are also some great papers included in this set, but I just used scraps!

Doodle Pantry also had a new release today, check it all out HERE.
