Hello

Talk about a busy, busy day. The rain held off long enough for all my laundry to dry. I love hanging my laundry up outside, especially the sheets. It smells so good when you crawl into bed that night. I'm sharing my quick little card I created using the stamp of the month from From the Heart. His name is Prickles and you can find him HERE. He is part of the progressive challenge at the From the Heart Blog. Looks like I'm cutting it close once again to getting these kind of challenge cards done!!

Hope

Well what do ya know, I forgot to post my card for today's CAS challenge over at The Outlawz. Our theme is green - it doesn't have to be monochromatic, just include something green and keep it clean and simple. I couldn't wait to dive into my latest Paper Trey Ink purchase! I love lighthouses, so the set Guiding Lights was a must have for me. I put my Misti to use (yes, I caved and bought one) along with the new Altenew inks. Very simple design but that's what CAS is all about, right?!! Join us this week at The Outlawz for our green themed CAS challenge. Our sponsor this month is Fresh Brewed Designs...how fun!!!

Thanks

I'm working on my progressive challenges...after all, the end of June is just around the corner. This image is Anne's Digital Art. I used my copics for color and the die cut "thanks" (cut out three times) for a sentiment. I even added sequins, something that I'm not very good at getting the placement right. Simple yet fun. Now off to get crackin' on my last progressive challenge image.

Just Keep Swimming

I couldn't resist playing along in the monthly challenge over at Deedee's Digis. The stamp of the month set, Diver Daniel, was just too cute to pass up. I pulled out one of these pre-cut tri-fold cards that I bought at my local stamp store. I sized the three fish down to fit and even flipped one of 'em. The strip along the left side is digi paper from Imagine That called At the Beach that I used the png version of the images over top the paper. How fun!!! I'm submitting this card to the progressive challenge at Deedee's Digis blog HERE.

Flirty Fish

I'm looking forward to the weekend, even though I have to work tomorrow. Life has just been a little crazy. I did get myself in my craft room to make this card to remind you of the Anything Goes challenge we have going on the rest of this month over at the Fresh Brewed Blog. The cute image is from Fresh Brewed Designs and called Flirty Fish. I had fun creating this one. I can't believe I cut the image out but so glad I did. I used my clear Wink of Stella pen to cover it with glittery goodness too. So fun, making me long for our summer vacation at the beach to hurry up and get here!!!

The sentiment is from Ice Cream Sentiments that, get this, you receive free with qualifying purchase...and Ice Cream Girl happens to be one of 'em!! Not to be out done, I'm working on a card using Ice Cream Boy. How fun!!

Just Saying Hello

Doodle Pantry is sponsoring the challenge over at Creative Colors. The colors are blue, white and kraft with a theme of maritime, ocean or summer. A beach/ocean theme is right up my alley, especially with us leaving for vacation in about a month!

I used the updated color version of Pelican Dreams. When we're at the beach, those pelicans flying in formation over us are just so fascinating to watch. I used the digital papers also found in this set for my card. How perfect for this color challenge. Sure hope you can join 'em at Creative Colors for some Doodle Pantry goodness up for grabs.

JOY

We've got a new challenge at Holly Jolly Christmas -- Tag It. Check out all the fabulous samples done by the rest of the design team, talk about lots of inspiration!!! I decided to incorporate my tag onto my card...one more to add to the Christmas card pile! Keeping the simple theme going too. Just the way I like it. My image is from one of our sponsors, QKR Stampede. It's called Joy and can be found HERE. Join us for the next two weeks at Holly Jolly Christmas and get ready to Tag It!!

Doodle Pantry is having a sale now until July 5th to help celebrate...all items in the USA Patriotic section found HERE are 25% off!! My card uses two sets from this category, Patriotic Sheep and Stars & Stripes Paper Pack. Coffee Cake

Did you ever make a card and the more you looked at it, the less you liked it? Well that's what's happenin' here!! It's for our CAS challenge at The Outlawz, and our theme is to use your scraps. Fresh Brewed Designs is our sponsor this month so I used one of Heather's images, Coffee in Cake. I held off on adding a sentiment so maybe that is what's bugging me about this card! Anyway, the pattern papers were taken directly from my scrap pile...and still no noticeable dent in that stack!!!

Wanted to remind you of our Anything Goes challenge too going on over at the Fresh Brewed Blog. You actually have until the end of the month to play along. Why don't you join us?!!!

Have a Sweet Day

Yum to summer!!! Love all the wonderful fresh fruit the season brings!! This image is by Gerda Steiner Designs called Watermelon Kid and part of the monthly progressive challenge. Love the smile you can see popping up behind the slice of watermelon. I added a hint of sparkle to that watermelon with my wink of stella pen. Fun, fun, fun!!!

God Bless America

I got an email from Kris at Imagine That asking if I would be interested in being a summer guest designer...ahhhh yeah!!!!!!!! Talk about being thrilled. I had this image already printed for a previous project that never came to be, so I pulled it out of the pile and put it to use. This is one of the images and sentiments from the American Pride Kit. Love that patriotic owl, especially those big eyes and flag belly! My papers are scraps (something I am always trying to use up!!).

Challenges I'm submitting my card to include:
Crafty Gals Corner - Red, White, & Blue

It's a Beach Day

I'd love it if EVERY day was a beach day!!! It's time for a new challenge over at The Outlawz. Our theme is a color challenge - use the colors of the flag from where you live. I love using red, white and blue, and love using it for non-patriotic images. This is actually a rubber stamp from our sponsor this month, Fresh Brewed Designs. Yes, she sells rubber stamps too!! This is from the Skinny Minnie Beach Set and you can find it HERE. I stamped the red striped background (Impression Obsession Thin Stripes) and of course smudged a portion. So I cut it off and slipped in a piece of plain white that I also die cut with a rectangle stitched die from Lawn Fawn. A piece of blue ribbon is my only embellishment, just what you want on a clean and simple card! Sure hope you can join us for our CAS challenge over at The Outlawz.

Challenges I'm submitting my card to include:
Crafty Catz - Clean & Simple
Cute Card Thursday - By the Seaside
Scrapbooker PhD - Summer Fun
DoubleClick Skittles - Summer Fun

Fuschia & Hummingbird

I got home late from work last night so why not hit my craft room and finish up a card I had started. Well, I did just that...but when I'm working on cropping my photo (at 1:30 this morning mind you) it hit me, boy, your sentiment is REALLY crooked!!! Needless to say, it waited until this morning to get fixed. So here's my card using a beautiful image from Imagine That called Fuschia and Hummingbird (two of my favorite summer things!). Ruby throated hummingbirds are the only kind that make it up here to Pennsylvania but boy are they beautiful. I usually buy fuschia hanging baskets so I know the hummers have plenty of goodness to eat. My front porch gets too much morning sun and they don't like it very much, but I still buy them!!

This card is for the Customer Link-up over at the Imagine That Blog.

Challenges I'm submitting my card to include:
As you Like It - Favorite flower
Dragonfly Journeys - What's the Word, Bird?

Feel Better

Yes, today's the day for a new digi release at Fresh Brewed Designs!!! Check it all out at the Fresh Brewed Blog.

For my card I used the image Hair Salon. It's fun to get pampered and a day at the hair salon does just that. Add a manicure and I'm in heaven!! I've been in a creative funk lately. Not sure what it is but I'd better soon get out of it!!! Now head on over to Fresh Brewed Designs and pick up the newly released digi images for this month!!!

Frame It

We have a new challenge up at Holly Jolly Christmas and the theme is "Frame It." You know my love of snowmen so I couldn't resist this sweet image from one of our sponsors, A Day for Daisies. This cutie is Snowball Diane. Don't ask me why blue, white and gray ended up being my colors. Maybe because they were within easy arm reach being on my desk from something else!! Initially I wanted to add stickles to glitter up her hat and coat then after I posted the pic realized I never did add it!!! How silly!!! I was able to use the newly released die from Avery Elle, Burst Elle-ments,  to create my frame. I used a circle die to cut out from the center of this burst die for my snowman (or should I say snow lady?!) to poke through. Sure hope you can join us at Holly Jolly Christmas for our Frame It challenge that runs for the next two weeks.

Challenges I'm submitting my card to include:
The Glory of Christmas - Snowman or woman

What's Up Chickie

Doodle Pantry is sponsoring the challenge over at Incy Wincy -- their theme is Old MacDonald Had a Farm. How fun!!! And there are so many wonderful sets at Doodle Pantry that fit this theme. My problem was narrowing it down to just one!!!!! I ended up using Chicken Color because I haven't used it before today!!! This card was created at 3am when I couldn't sleep...so hooray for quick and easy pre-colored digis! Join in on the challenge at Incy Wincy for your chance at some Doodle Pantry fun!

Life is Good

Life sure is good when you're on the beach eating ice cream!!! Hurry up summer vacation and get here! My card is for the Clean & Simple challenge going on over at The Outlawz. Our theme this week is to show us your favorite chilled treat. Of course mine is ice cream!!!!! Our lovely sponsor this month, offering 3 free digital images to our winner, is Heather at Fresh Brewed Designs. My  image is Betty from Fresh Brewed Designs...isn't she a hoot?!!! I just finished watching a sponging video by Laura Bassen and was inspired to give it a try. Gotta watch out for the inky fingers when your sponging and touching your crisp white cardstock, you end up with smudges that you have to get creative to cover up!! Ask me how I know that!!!!! Anyway, sure hope you can join us for some sweet chilled treats CAS style over at The Outlawz.

Fun in the Sun

I have to brag a little bit here...I made a card featuring my very first success at digital paper piecing!!! I've been in such awe of one of my fellow teamie's talent, Pat from Stamp, Paper and Ink. She pointed me in the direction of some video tutorials, and I think a combination of them all helped me have a make it work moment!

This is Bob from Fresh Brewed Designs, and he's here to remind your of the "Fun in the Sun" challenge we have going on at the Fresh Brewed Blog. His swimming trunks are the same crab paper as the strip behind the image. Join in and maybe you'll be the winner of a Fresh Brewed Designs digital image of your very own!!

Challenges I'm submitting my card to include:
Chocolate, Coffee & Cards - Summer
Fussy and Fancy - Fun in the Sun
Sister Act - Anything goes
Cute Card Thursday - Summer colors

Ice Cream...YUM!!!

Check out the adorable Digi of the Month from Imagine That! Ice cream is a major weakness of mine. I buy Ben & Jerry's then wait till everyone is in bed before cracking open a pint! Sad but true. I used the sweet Ice Cream Parlour set along with one of the Ice Cream Sentiments. Clean and simple and with just a few layers...just how I like it!!! I am submitting this card to the June Progressive Challenge found HERE on the Imagine That blog.

Sweet Summer Wishes

Wow, it's the 1st of June today...how did that happen?!!! My youngest is done with school this Friday, then it's Mom's job to keep him busy all summer!!! The first of the month also means the beginning of a new Ants in my Pantry Digital Challenge over at the Doodle Pantry Blog. It's an anything goes challenge as long as you use a digital stamp. Now if you use an image (not just a sentiment) from Doodle Pantry, you have an additional chance to be featured and win a small prize!! I found this image, sentiment and digital paper in my already printed off pile so why not use it today!! It all comes from the set Watermelon Ants. Of course I had to print the image of the ants shaking salt on their watermelon 'cause I do the same thing! Love it with salt! I do the same thing with my cantaloupe. Sure hope you can join us for our Ants in my Pantry Digital Challenge over at the Doodle Pantry Blog.
