Get Well Soon

Welcome to our latest Clean & Simple challenge over at The Outlawz. I am the hostess this week and our theme is get well cards, CAS of course. Rather ironic for me, as the day's gone on, I've been feeling ickier and ickier. Here's my card, using an adorable pup from Doodle Pantry called St. Bernard Buddy. The bright red is sure to boost anyone's spirits! Please feel free to join us for our get well clean & simple challenge at The Outlawz.

Christmas Challenge

This is my fourth card I made tonight. Oh how I wish it had turned out the way I had envisioned it. This is for the Christmas progressive challenge over at Digi Stamps 4 Joy. I received this image free because I played along last month...how fun is that?!!! It has a sheet of vellum over it, the reason why it's a bit washed out. Keepin' it simple cause I'm all out of creative juice!!!

I'm Still Thinking Spring

Even though it snowed last night and I had to brush my car off coming out of work, I'm still hopeful that spring is on its way! With that wishful thinking in mind, I created a card today using a digital image from Fresh Brewed Designs called Apple Blossom Fairy. My husband loves golden delicious apples, so yellow they became!

You have a couple more days to join our March Blog Candy challenge. Read all the rules HERE. How fun it would be to get this box of goodies in the mail!!!

Sweet Mermaid

It's the last Wednesday of the month so we have an extra fun challenge for you at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2. Use one of your favorite sketches from this year and add a twist - fairies or mermaids. How fun!!!

Our sponsor this week is Dilly Beans Digi Stamps. The prize is three free digi images!! Good luck deciding!

Here's my card using the sweet little mermaid, Nina. I used the sketch from last week (pictured above) so I could use up some designer paper scraps. I've been cleaning up my craft room and found these paper flowers I completely forgot I had. Hooray for organizing! Just if I wouldn't buy more stuff to fill up the drawer space I've just created!! Sure hope you can join us this week at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2.

Holly Jolly Christmas Bingo

We're playing bingo this week at the Holly Jolly Christmas Challenge. I went with the line of snowflakes, blue, and free space. I was thrilled to be able to use this Lacy Sunshine image called Snowflake. And who knew a girl could look so pretty in blue hair?!!! I wanted to add a sentiment but just couldn't find that perfect one, so I've left it off for now. Please join us this week at the Holly Jolly Christmas Challenge for some bingo fun.

Saying a Prayer for You

Today's my day to share some Doodle Pantry cards! This is my second post, be sure and scroll down to see my first card for today. Doodle Pantry is sponsoring the challenge over at 613 Avenue Create. Their theme this week is birds, feathers, wings. I went with a recently released Doodle Pantry set called Flying Dove. I love the peaceful nature of this image. I also love the teals and white so I kept it with those colors with some black accents.

Some challenges I'd like to submit this to include:
2 Sisters Challenge - Black, White +1 Other Color
Kitty Bee Designs - Things With Wings
Digi Haven - Things With Wings
QKR Stampede - A Little Birdie Told Me
Aud Sentiments - Anything Goes With Sentiment
Creative Knockouts - Things With Wings

Frame It

Welcome to our Clean and Simple challenge over at The Outlawz. This week our theme is "Frame It." Now I cut out my brown frame by nesting two square dies together and running them through my Big Shot. The image is by Doodle Pantry, one of the carousel collections called Carousel Horse 1. Yes, this is the color version, my favorite kind of digi to use!!! I love the sentiment, makes me think of Disney. Join us and show off your frames, clean & simple style at The Outlawz.

You Fill My Day With Happy

I've had this card done for two days now, too bad I couldn't get it posted before today!!! I was a winner from the last Online Card Class about stencils and, after cleaning off my desk, decided to play with one of my winnings. I used Hero Arts ink on this in Butter Bar, Orange Soda and Red Royal. The sentiment is a Simon Says Stamp set from the March monthly card kit, Color and Sunshine. A few rhinestones and a simple card is complete.

Some challenges I'd like to submit my card to include:
Brown Sugar Challenge - Anything Goes
Craftitude - Anything Goes
Crafts 4 Eternity - Anything Goes
Sister Act Card Challenge - Anything Goes
Make Something Monday - Stencil

Hugs to You!

It's the middle of March and spring starts tomorrow...or so the calendar says!! I am so ready for some consistent warm weather, so tired of the cold. Anyway, here's our latest sketch at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2. It's a quick one, and great for using up scraps of designer papers.

Our sponsor is Sally Ann at Digi Stamp Boutique. She is offering our winner a £10 voucher to her store. Happy times when you get to go shopping with your winnings!!

Here's my card, using the sweet Bizzie Lizzie bumble bee. I love the big smile she has on her face!! I added a bit of sparkle to her wings and the center of the flower. And yes, that is scraps of paper I used!! I decided to add some stitching, both zig zag and straight. I feel like I haven't used my sewing machine on my cards in a while.

I sure hope you can join us this week for this great sketch from Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2.

I'm submitting my card to the challenge over at the Digi Stamp Boutique Blog - use a DSB image.

Happy Winter?

Actually, I'd be happy to see winter go away!!!! This has been a rough one, way too cold for way too long. However, a winter scene is our theme this week at the Holly Jolly Christmas Challenge. I used a Doodle Pantry image, Covered Bridges, and yes, I used the color version. Love 'em!! The sentiment is from the set Snowman Cheer. I found an old pad of Basic Grey paper that had lots of blues and browns in it. It was fun to use it because it is far from a winter/Christmas theme of paper. A simple layout, perfect for those few bachelors still in our circle of friends. Please join us this week and share your winter scene at Holly Jolly Christmas.

I used the number dies and stamp set from PaperTrey Ink - Big Birthday Wishes and By the Numbers die set. Like I said, one quick and easy card.

Miss You Friend

We're feeling a little retro this week over at The Outlawz. That's the theme of our Clean & Simple challenge. I didn't have any real retro images that hit me, but these circles and splatters sure did for some reason. Made me think of all the abstract images and tie dye. I used a PaperTrey Ink set called Grunge Me. I masked off the diagonal strip to make room for the sentiment, a Paper Smooches set called Sentiment Sampler. The background, believe it or not, is a Hero Arts background stamp called Snow Dots. I stamped it with Versamark and heat embossed with clear powder. Not sure if I like the fact I mounted it on an angle, think it looks better in real life. Anyway, it was fun and quick to create. Sure hope you can join our CAS retro challenge at The Outlawz.

You Make Me Smile

So many things make me smile. First of all, Phillip comes home on Sunday for spring break. I'm so looking forward to seeing my college boy. Creating cards makes me smile. Sometimes they cause me grief, especially when my mojo takes a leave. Here's a fun and simple card I made for Gina K guest DT challenge over at Stamp TV. We needed to combine a spring themed card with one of her technique videos. Nothing says spring to me than the waking up of mother nature. I used a mini stamp set called You Make me Smile. The techniques I used were Highlighting and Edging with Embossed Resist with my focal image layer and the blue background used Ceramic Tile. So fun and so quick to make.

Today has been a wonderfully sunny day. I even hung my laundry up outside...what do ya think of that?!!!!!

Fresh Brewed Tea

It's the first Wednesday of the month so it's time to reveal our latest challenge. Here's the sketch you could try, it's a really fun one!!! Check it all out on the Fresh Brewed Blog

Here's my card using the sketch and the sweet Ladybug Teapot by Fresh Brewed Designs. I had this paper pack of lovely pastels still sitting on my desk so why not put it to use! So simple yet oh so fun to create. Come join us this month at the Fresh Brewed Blog and try your hand at our sketch, it's one you'll use again and again.

Fantastic Summer Fun!

SUMMER??? What's that???!! It's a warm and wonderful season that I am soooo looking forward to!! These single digit temps are ridiculous! Okay, enough ranting. I know you're wondering what I'm doing showing you a summer card. Well Doodle Pantry is sponsoring the challenge over at Fab 'n' Funky Challenges and their theme is Summer. I couldn't resist these adorable Garden Hose Ants. Talk about a fANTastic fun time!!! I used the color version along with some scrap paper I found in a pile on my cutter. I wish I would start to see that pile going down, but sadly, it doesn't. You would think that would stop me from buying more now wouldn't you?!! Be sure and join the Fab 'n' Funky Challenge for some Doodle Pantry goodness.

Sweet Ladybug

It's Wednesday and time to share our latest and greatest challenge at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2. This one is a real winner. So much fun indeed.

Speaking of fun, you're gonna love our sponsor this week...A Day for Daisies. I love looking thru their store, so many adorable images. And if you are our winner from this week, you'll get to do just that because you'll have won a $12 gift certificate!!!

Here's my card, using the wonderfully sweet Lady Bug Delivery. I paired this up with a fun paper pack I have and hardly used by My Minds Eye called On The Sunny Side. A fun image for a fun and fabulous sketch. I do hope you can join us this week at Sweet Sketch Wednesday.

Winters Fairy

It's time for a new challenge at the Holly Jolly Christmas Challenge. This week we're looking for fairies or angels. Our sponsor is the one and only Bugaboo Stamps. I used the beautiful Winters Fairy - I love this adorable image! I am so not a pastel person, so it really surprised me when I pulled these two papers out, and really liked them together!! I followed the latest sketch by Stella over at Catch the Bug. Now I really hope you can join us for our fairies or angels theme at Holly Jolly Christmas.

Just Saying Hello

"Ladybug, Ladybug fly away home" is the beginning line of a nursery rhyme. And ladybugs are the theme for our Clean & Simple challenge over at The Outlawz. I usually try to get inky with these challenges but for the life of me couldn't find any of my ladybug stamps!!! So a digi image it is...and this one is from Bugaboo Stamps call Ladybug Stack. My sentiment is from a stamp set by Lawn Fawn called Grand Greetings. Had to keep it in the red, white and black color palette too...just because!! Sure hope you can join us for our Ladybug challenge at The Outlawz.

Doodle Pantry Release

Welcome to the March release for Doodle Pantry. So many wonderful digital sets, papers and SVG e-cuttable shapes, you're bound to find something to strike your fancy! I have two cards to share with you, both combining the Bright Smiles Digi Paper Pack with the FREE with purchase Critter Tales. With the color version of the flamingo, I used a strip of the melon scallop digi paper. So CAS!!!

Here Mr. Gator is saying "hello" with the green stripes digi paper. He too is the color version. As you can tell, I'm not a big user of embellishments. I certainly can't do all the wonderful flower arrangements I see and besides, I don't like to add a lot of bulk. The button on my bow here is about as thick as I get!!!

Yes, I said Critter Tales is free with purchase, but you only have until March 24th to take advantage of this so don't delay, order today!!! Play along with our Doodle Pantry Digital Challenge on the blog. The theme is anything goes, but if you use a Doodle Pantry image, you will receive the adorable Carousel Pig absolutely free! There's always something fun going on at the Doodle Pantry Blog!
