Pink and Brown Christmas???

Yep, a pink and brown Christmas card!! This is for the monthly Christmas card challenge I try to participate in on SCS. I borrowed this stamp from a friend (thanks Peggy!!) and stamped it off in several different colors. I maintained the same layout on all of them, just switched up the colors, ribbon and DSP. The stamp is a collage by Hero Arts...beautiful image, isn't it. After posting it, I realized I never put the stickles on!!! Just a touch of glitter adds a nice touch. Will have to do that. Thanks so much for stopping by and looking.
My stamp camp is tomorrow. I have 20 ladies coming over. They are all excited about Sale-a-bration and getting free stuff!! I'll let you know how it turns out!!!

Clean and Simple

It's a new challenge over at SCS to make clean and simple cards - minimal layers, minimal embellishments, and minimal techniques. I love layers and dimension so a challenge is was! But fun and one I will continue. I was inspired by the colors (blues and greens) of a swatch of flannel we were shown. I used Papertrey Inks Spring rain and Spring moss (does it sound like I'm anxious for spring?!) as well as their white and Lemon tart. Stamps include PTI's Polka Dot Basics and Around & About Sentiments as well as a Clear Dollar Stamp set I received as a gift for being on the Design Team called A Medley of Gratitude. Love the new eyelet punch by SU, want to use it on everything!!! Not a lot of layers and NO DIMENSIONALS!!!!! GASP!! Did add ribbon, also by PTI.
Woke up this morning to almost 2 inches of snow and VERY windy. Visibility was terrible! I couldn't see up our street watching for the bus. It ended up being half an hour late!! I need a day where nothing out of the ordinary happens!!!!!!!

Sing a New Song!

Hello everyone, I am stamping again!!!!! Taking baby steps but at least I've finished a few cards!!! This stamper's block is rough, let me tell you!!! This card is for the monthly Bible verse challenge on SCS. My verse is from the Sing to the Lord set by Our Daily Bread. The flowers are an old SU set, Both Way Blossoms. They were colored in with my Copic markers. The DSP by Basic Grey is called Eva, and the inspiration for the colors -- Bravo burgundy, Rose red and Pretty in pink (what, no brown??!!!!!). I found the burgundy layer already embossed with the Swirls folder, so why not put it to good use! And I just got the new eyelet punch and had to try it out! Thanks so much for looking. I have a few more to post, must go to work though first!

I Am Still Here...

I simply can't find the motivation to stamp! Please tell me, has anyone else felt this way?? It's not like I've replaced stamping with anything productive, I just have no desire to go into my stamp room and create!!!!! Oh bother, what is this world coming to!! Please keep stopping by, maybe you'll get a surprise and I will have posted something!!!

We Are The Champions!!!

Let me tell you, I am mentally drained after that game!! I am so happy we won!!!!! But it got a little scary there at the end!! Congrats to the Arizona Cardinals for making it to the Super Bowl, but hooray for the Black and Gold!!!!!!!!!

Now what am I going to do on Sundays???

What a Hoot!

Finally, a completed card!!! It's for our weekly Featured Blogger's Challenge over at Wish RAK on SCS. This week's beautiful blog belongs to JenMarie - check out her blog Taylor~Made by JenMarie, you will find lots of inspiration! I chose this card to case which is based on this sketch. I used an owl image I had received thru Wish RAK - I used my Copic markers on it then pounced a rag over it's body that I had rubbed some of the blender pen on. Love the visual texture it gives. Colors include Chocolate chip, Kraft, and Soft sky. The designer paper is by Memory Box. The sentiment is by Clear Dollar Stamps, a set called What a Hoot! Thanks so much for stopping by and GO STEELERS!!!!!
